Our selvedge apron started out as a thank you gift for some local artisans - our close friends at Blue Bottle Coffee Mint Plaza and Del Popolo Pizza. After having a few made up and seeing how their durability, functionality, and stains told a story of a day's work, we knew we had something special.
For this run, we're using our most popular grey denim, the #131 Japan Heather Grey. What immediately sets this grey selvedge apart from all the other grey styles we have offered is its unique visual texture. It has a grey warp, but unlike the GreyXBlack, which has a very uniform grey shade, this style has a grainy, heathered coloring to it. It almost takes on a wool-like appearance. The weft is also a light grey, giving it a slightly tonal look. Whether you are a bar back, a grill master, or you just plain like to tinker this apron is for you. The two front pockets mirror those you would find on our jeans and are trimmed with the selvedge ID. The upper utility pocket is a perfect place to keep a thermometer, spoon or pen handy while you take care of business. The pocket is finished off with a Gustin leather patch. Finally, the nickel-plated solid-brass hardware allows you to adjust the fit to your liking while adding a bit of flash. We love this apron and we are sure you will too.
