Meet the Gustin 2-Pocket Shirt - the perfect middle ground between our vintage inspired Gustin Workshirt and our thoroughly traditional Classic Button Down.
This style uses a brushed twill from one of the finest mills in Japan. To compliment the more rugged styles we're using in the launch of our new 2-pocket shirt we wanted to offer something a bit more refined and this lighter weight twill is the perfect answer. Black is perfect for pairing with denim, you can never have too many black shirts. This fabric is a lighter 4.5 ounces and nicely brushed giving it one of the softest feels of any shirting fabric we use. The twill weave is tight but still adds a bit of character. If you like supreme comfort and nice combination of refinement and toughness, this is your shirt.
The Gustin 2-Pocket Shirt is a touch more casual and lends itself perfectly to classic colors and slightly more rugged fabrics from flannels to twills. Styling details drive this new shirt’s more casual appeal. A no-button collar that’s perfectly sized to sit well. Two chest pockets closed with curved edge flaps and secured with custom grey mother of pearl buttons. A very gently scooped bottom hem that works wonderfully un-tucked or tucked. Two curved chest pockets with flaps completes the front. We keep the basic core fit specs of our classic or slim fits so you can easily order the same size you wear in our Classic Button Down.
We labor over every construction detail. Extensive single needle stitching is used throughout. The front placket is also pleated, made the right way, using a true two piece construction. The feel is more substantial and the effort higher, but it's the right way. Our cuffs are double button with rounded corners.
Button downs that are made in the USA using our quality of material and construction are typically priced at $175 to $300. The Gustin model, with your support, lets us do much better.
