Shirts

The best way to describe our shirt fit is that it simply feels organic. There is a sophisticated and natural shape to the entire body, from shoulders to chest to waist that matches the natural curve of the human form. We’ve aligned shoulder and chest widths and given the bottom hem only a subtle curve, striking the perfect balance between tucking and untucking ability. If you're in-between sizes, or unsure, we suggest going with the larger of the two sizes you're considering.

Shirt Measurements

Chest

Lay the shirt flat with buttons fastened and the back pleat pulled tight. Take the measurement from fabric end to fabric end and double it.

Center back length

The length at the center back from the base of the collar to the hem.

Sleeve length from center back

Measure from the center of the collar to the shoulder seam, then measure from the shoulder seam to the end of the cuff and combine these measurements.

Neck opening

Unbutton the shirt and lay flat. Measure the length from button to buttonhole.

Workshirts

Our shirt fit starts with a beautifully tailored body, not too slim, but definitely fitted. High armholes keep the body lines clean. The length hits just right so it looks great tucked or untucked. Scooped out sides give the untucked look a bit of extra style.

If you're inbetween sizes, or unsure, we suggest going with the larger of the two sizes you're considering.

T-Shirts

Fit is much more important on a t-shirt than you might think.

We set out to strike the right balance between a tailored fit and an easy to wear piece. The shoulders are fitted, which keeps the overall look clean. The sleeves hit at just the right point on the arm and are tight enough to prevent them from winging out. The body is slightly tapered, but easy enough to not be mistaken as an undershirt. Finally, the length hits just right so it falls below the waist line, but does not cover your entire backside.

Center back length

Measure at the center back from the bottom of the rib to the hem of the shirt.

Shoulder

Measure flat across from shoulder seam to shoulder seam.

Sleeve length (short-sleeve)

Measure from the shoulder seam, down to the end of the sleeve.

Sleeve length (long-sleeve)

Measure from the center of the back of the collar, just below the collar band. Run the measuring tape along the yoke and down the sleeve to the end of the cuff.

Our sweatshirts line up in size with our other garments. If you wear a small t-shirt, jacket or woven shirt, we recommend a size small. The style is traditional, but the fit is modern. The shoulders are fitted and the body is slightly tapered, but roomy enough so that it's superbly comfortable. Finally, the length hits just right so it falls below the waist line, but does not cover your entire backside.

Henleys

Henleys line up in size with our other garments. If you wear a small t-shirt, jacket or woven shirt, we recommend a size small. Our henley has a close fit, which reflects its origin as a rowing crew uniform. The body is slightly tapered so there is no billowing fabric, but roomy enough so that it's comfortable. The shoulders are fitted, which keeps the overall look clean. The length hits just right so it falls below the waist line, but does not cover your entire backside.

Our sweatpants are cut in a slim tapered shape, and have a mid-rise.

Chinos

We started from the ground up on fit to create both our slim and straight styles. As with our denim, we like a classic look but with an updated fit.

Straight fit

Our straight is designed to sit a bit higher on the waist and is more relaxed in the thigh to the cuff.

Slim fit

Our slim sits lower on the waist and is well tailored through the thigh down to the cuff. It’s not extreme, but definitely a modern, tailored fit.

Chino Measurements

Waist

With the waistband buttoned, lay out your pants flat, and pull the top of the front edge to the top of the back edge. Measure from one end of the waist to the other, and multiply this number by two.

Front rise

With the pants still buttoned and flat, measured from the crotch seam to the top edge of the front of the pant.

Thigh (2” down)

With the pants still buttoned and flat, measure across the thigh, 2” down from the crotch seam. Multiply this number by two.

Knee (15” down)

With the pants still buttoned and flat, measure across the knee, 15” down from the crotch seam. Multiply this number by two.

Cuff opening

With the cuff flat, measure the width and multiply by two.

Joggers

The fit on our joggers is easy through the top block with a gentle taper to the cuff.

CPO Jackets

The fit is designed to be tailored while still accommodating light weight items underneath. The length is slightly longer than our button downs. We recommend selecting the same size in our CPO as you wear in our jackets. If you wear a small chore coat, go with a small CPO.

Sneakers

Gustin sneakers follow European sizing, and run slightly larger than some US sizes. If you typically wear a US 9 in dress-shoes or boots, we recommend ordering a US 9 in these as well. If you usually wear a half-size, we would recommend you order down to the nearest whole size. If you have tried on other Margom-soled sneakers, you should order the same size. P.S.
