Grey denim is a must have for your collection. This heavy, dark charcoal version from Japan is made that much better by a jet black weft.
Gustin jeans are made from sanforized raw selvedge denim from one of the finest mills in Japan. If you look at the history of selvedge denim we've run here at Gustin, you can tell we're big fans of grey denim. It's more rare than indigo, but if you dig deep enough you can find great styles from light shade heathered to dark coal. One fabrication has always stood out -- the grey on black. This style nails it. A nice amount of starch will yield great creases and wear-in. A deep, charcoal warp sets the base shade while a jet black weft changes the look entirely by creating a subtle black shadow. It makes for a nice formality to the fabric. You can see how the fabric ages to a softer grey and even a blown out grey if you work hard enough. This kind of blue alternative is what we love offering and is perfect to add variety to your collection.

"My 1968s came in the mail yesterday…They're amazing! From the fit (thank you for all the hand-holding!) to the detailing, I'm blown away. Just tremendous quality at any price point, but the value here is off the charts."
