Some of styles that remain our favorites for years are those that combine a gold-standard raw denim base with subtle details that are left mostly for the owner to know about and enjoy. They don't scream loudly, they just represent an artistic detail that some of the best mills in Japan like to add to their quality products. This philosophy is what drew us the Metal ID. It starts with the raw selvedge denim blank canvas that Japan is so good at creating. A deep indigo warp is crossed with crisp white weft and a rare left hand twill weave. Left hand twills are prized for a softer break-in. The yarns are slightly slubby giving the surface a visible flame of white weft and a good amount of starch gives this style the crispo feel we love on day one. This is just hands-down quality raw denim. It's the subtle finishing touch that makes this style that little extra bit special.
