This style gives you a glimpse into a construction type originated by Wrangler in the 60's and now almost impossible to find in selvedge form. A true throwback . . . the Broken Twill Selvedge.
The broken twill weave was used by Wrangler in the 60's in an attempt to combat the leg twist you get in left or right hand twills. Rarely used now, and even more rare in selvedge form, this style is a chance to experience a true old world denim. As we would want, all the details keep things pure and classic. It starts with a solid, starchy, 13 ounce weight. Solid, but usable. A classic dark indigo warp is paired with crisp white weft. The broken twill means you don't see a well defined twill line on either front or back surfaces which give this fabric a different character. Of course, the red ID is the finishing touch. Selvedge denim history you can enjoy today.
