Japan continues to impress us with masterfully crafted twills and today we have the latest example. First is the rugged, workwear inspired base. An incredibly dense, 12 ounce twill. It is tough, but the high quality yarns give it a suppleness and almost soft leathery feel. The innovative and carefully paired use of color in both warp and weft truly sets this fabric apart. The warp is dyed to a palette of superbly classic, rich and deep colors - this version using a deep charcoal. Now things get even better. The weft yarn gets a black sulfur dye that has a unique matte oxidized shade. It gives the top surface a black drop-shadow effect that's truly special. Paired with our timeless 5 pocket style you truly have a special pant that will give your favorite selvedge denim a run for its vintage money.
