#1207 Rainbow Nep Rustic Wool Shirt - Gold Wheat

We know Japan as the masters of rugged, big texture selvedge denim. It's clear that those same principles and attention to detail result in some of the most beautiful shirting fabric we've seen. Today is an example. It starts with yarn - rustic, fibrous wool. It has a classic old-school feel. The construction is extremely loose, lending the style a flowing, almost hand-woven feel. Very unusual. Next comes a retro plaid pattern highlighting expert, earthy color combinations. To us, the true star is hugely slubby yarns that feature an explosion of rainbow neps. Monster texture is the result. A tapestry of organic dots of color runs throughout the surface. Each shirt is unique. This is fabric art you can enjoy every day. 

This shirt is sewn up in our new Rugged style. It's designed to be the perfect style for our heavier, more rustic fabrics we run. It's a bit more casual, without being over the top. This style is set off by two key design cues: a perfectly sized collar without buttons and two clean button closures on rounded chest pockets. These two elements lend the style a more casual look while their clean implementation keeps the shirt versatile. A simpler back yoke replaces the box pleat and locker loop of our Classic style. Intricate stitching tacks down the collar stand. The Rugged style inherits the same core fit block from the updated Classic style. The moment we sewed up some flannels and heavy jacquards in this style we knew it was right.
