#618 Orange Rust Flannel

One of the privileges of running Gustin for us is getting sent some of the finest fabrics from the best mills in Japan. We always look forward to those huge packages when they arrive in the mail. Then comes a day of looking, touching and figuring out the best options to present to you. In this case, it was very easy. The moment we saw this combination of colors we were sold. Old school, earthy, bright. Burnt oranges, yellows, tans are all woven together in the perfect amounts in a classic plaid pattern creating a beautifully rusty palette. Prominent black channels lend a touch of darkness and balance. This shirt is immediately vintage and surprisingly fresh. The fact that its lusciously soft and ideal 5 ounce weight makes it a must own style.

This shirt is sewn up in our new Rugged style. It's designed to be the perfect style for our heavier, more rustic fabrics we run. It's a bit more casual, without being over the top. This style is really set off by two key design cues: a perfectly sized collar without buttons and two clean button closure, rounded chest pockets. These two elements lend the style it’s more casual look while their clean implementation keeps the shirt versatile. A simpler back yoke replaces the box pleat and locker loop of our Classic style. Intricate stitching tacks down the collar stand. The Rugged style inherits the same core fit block from the updated Classic style. The moment we sewed up some flannels and heavy jacquards in this style we knew it was right.
