#75 Okayama Standard

"Took one return to get the right size , but once I got the right size they are perfect - the 14.5 oz is a great weight for any climate- the weave of the denim is tight so it doesn’t blow out - the straight cut is slightly roomy but not boxy, allows for range of motion great 50’s look rolled up and the rise is mid to high which really works for me - I’m usually a 31/ 32 but 33 - best fitting jeans I’ve ever had"

"I’m kind of a selvedge noob. Visited Japan came home with a Flathead 9oz. Jacket, and fell in love with Japanese style attention to detail. Happy to say, these USA details compete and even exceed in some areas. Now, compared to my usual AE Mall jeans of varying quality well, there is no comparison. Thats even with being generally satisfied with AE. I feel so swaggy in comparison. Just hefty enough. Slightly sheeny and plenty character now, and can’t wait to see how they wear and fade. "This is my second Gustin pair after the 1968. It took me all of one minute of breaking in that first pair using Sally O'Malley kicks and stretches to decide I wanted another one, and the Okayama was a logical choice. It arrived just in time for my Christmas trip to Chicago, and all I could think of was all the honeycombing that 8+ hours of sitting in Economy Class would bring. I'm really happy with it -- the fabric is beautiful and the piece is just so well crafted overall. I could be happier, though -- just a couple of minor quality situations on the left leg. 1) About 1" of stitching on the outseam failed and was coming undone, which led me to notice that 2) from the knee down, the leg was about 3/16" tighter than the right. I let Customer Service know about issue #1 and was taken care of right away with a reimbursement for repair. Issue #2 is more of an observation than a problem. Still giving it 5 stars."
