Since we introduced our single-piece Horween belts, the response has been fantastic. They're simple, rugged, and made out of some of the finest leather available in the world today. Today we're making these available in Horween's most famous leather - Chromexcel #8.
This belt is crafted from full grain steer hide made by the Horween Leather Company in Chicago. Horween's Chromexcel is famous and Color #8 even more so. Like Horween’s Dublin line, Chromexcel has tremendous base shade and pull up. The difference with #8 is in its dark burgundy color. Its deep base results in a much more subtle beauty. We're pairing this beautiful leather with a solid brass buckle, made in the United States.
We pay special attention to the finish as we do on all our products. The edges are beveled and edged, and the belt is finished with a traditional English point. The belt is secured with Chicago screws, and is stamped with both the Gustin and Horween logos on the backside.
If you look around, belts of this quality and design are typically $120 to $170. If we had to sell at retail and guess which style you wanted, we would be stuck doing the same. Fortunately we’re not, and that means you get a top quality product for a wonderful price.
