Ever wonder how the Super Heavy Slub wears in? Now you know. With a huge 18 ounce weight and massive slub yarns special things can happen with wear. The dark indigo progresses to a near perfect medium blue. The slubiness creates vibrant contrast. The natural veg tan patch develops a golden honey patina. Gustin jeans are made from sanforized raw selvage denim from one of the finest mills in Japan. This 18oz rivals the Super Heavy in weight but has a unique twist in the form of absolutely massive slub yarns. The result is a huge amount of texture and a truly unique grain. It's very rare for mills to work with such heavy and textured yarn and it's easy to see there is very little like this denim out there. This style is very dense and has a good amount of starch giving it a real crisp feel. You know you're wearing this denim when it's on. It’s a very dark, pure indigo shade with a thin pink selvage ID. If you’re looking for a really unique big weight denim, this one is for you. We'll be using our thick veg-tan patch on this run. You will receive a new pair of raw denim, not worn-in or distressed.
