Classic styling meets impeccable all-weather function -- it's the Gustin Rain Jacket. We dialed in the fit and scored the perfect American-made, taslan nylon with a durable water repellent (DWR) finish to keep you looking great and feeling dry even in bad weather. You just might find yourself reaching for this jacket even when it's not wet out.
Our goal in creating a rain jacket was to find a way to combine functionality with clean, understated styling. We wanted a jacket that would keep us dry while still looking well tailored and timeless. Reaching that goal started with style and fit. A clean front face is punctuated only by two button closure flap pockets. These are ideally positioned for your hands and lined with a beautifully soft vintage flannel. The full length, high zip front helps seal the wind and wet out and provides just the right fit when you have the generous hood up. A flap covering over the entire zipper helps to ensure the elements stay on the outside. Up top, raglan sleeves define a beautiful shoulder line and make for an ideal fit. A fully lined flannel body adds warmth while nylon sleeve and hood lining makes entry easy. Small straps at the wrists allow for the cuffs to be tightened as needed. The entire look is minimal, timeless and clean.
The heart of this jacket is the shell material -- an all-American taslan nylon. Taslan is known for its more natural, cotton-like texture. The surface is slightly ridged, incredibly soft and highly durable. The light 4 ounce weight keeps this style draping well and feeling supremely comfortable. The lined body in combination with the shell makes for the ideal weight for layering or as a stand-alone piece when it's raining but not too chilly out. Best of all, this nylon is treated with a durable water repellant (DWR) finish. This version is jet black.
Jackets like ours that are made in the USA using our quality of material and construction are typically priced at $300 or higher. The efficiency of the Gustin model, with your support, lets us do much better.
