#167 Union Nep

This is an example of why we love getting new collections of fabric from our partner mills in Japan. They always manage to impress us, even after seeing thousands of styles. They do with masterful control of texture and color. Today we have the latest example. It starts with big nep yarn that when woven up transform the fabric surface with a tapestry of organically dispersed tufts of yarn. The ordinary becomes special with this yarn. Color is the next standout - an unusual grey-casted blue that reminds us of vintage era Union Blue army uniforms. Finally a solid 12.5 ounce weight and starched finish set up a rugged, vintage feel. It's just a gorgeous pant.
