When a pair of denim comes through the office and everyone reaches for it, we know it's something worth bringing back. This is precisely what happened yesterday, and the Italy Midnight Shadow is one sweet denim.
Gustin jeans made from sanforized raw selvedge denim from one of the finest mills in Italy. We're always on the lookout for lighter weight denim that's dark and classic. We weren't expecting to get as much complexity as we found in this fabric, but we're not complaining. The shade is a really inky, dark navy blue. It has a richness that can be harder to find in lighter weight fabric. Low starch and an 11 ounce weight make for a soft feel and an absolutely great warmer weather pant. We'd be pretty pleased if it ended there, but it gets better. The weft is a heathered charcoal grey that comes from recycled yarn. It's nicely slubby which produces a great cross hatch grain on the fabric surface. Nice wear-in is in store for you here. Icing on the cake is an unusual selvedge ID that's tan and red.
This is the same style and quality that was sold in boutiques all over the country for $205+.
