Classic and modern, the houndstooth has ancient roots that have held up through time to remain fresh today. Transformed into our classic 5 Pocket, this Italian version is ready for years of wear and the value we're offering makes it hard to pass up. This is the Italy Houndstooth 5 Pocket.
With origins often attributed to Scotland, this unique interlocking pattern was used in rugged outwear as a subtle form of camouflage. Now called the houndstooth, it has evolved from a workwear pattern used in the most rugged wool compositions to high fashion incarnations. In classic form, it usually retains the typical high-contrast black/white coloring. This version from Italy gets it just right for a great pair of pants. Black is paired with natural yarns in a small houndstooth pattern. The smaller scale keeps the right balance of refined and rugged, and the natural yarn makes the color contrast a bit more subtle. The color takes on an almost vintage antique appearance. Eight ounces with just a touch of stretch means all-year wearability. It's a classic built for today.

"My 1968s came in the mail yesterday…They're amazing! From the fit (thank you for all the hand-holding!) to the detailing, I'm blown away. Just tremendous quality at any price point, but the value here is off the charts."

"I really love Gustin. I just don't think I'd choose another brand at any price point. And I love watching for new products/return of old favs. But a very important part of the experience is the great customer service."
