A few Japan Big 20's came through the office yesterday and they did not dissappoint. This selvedge is a rare combination of true monster weight with a very open weave that keeps them very wearable. Add in a stunning wear-in a superb value and this is a must own denim.
Gustin jeans made from sanforized raw selvedge denim from one of the finest mills in Japan. This is the type of fabric and the type of value that we live for. 20oz denim for a steal. And it's not just the weight and price that are great, this is simply incredible denim all around. The foundation is classic, a true, deep blue indigo warp with a slightly off white weft. Because of the rope-like yarns used, you get nice weft show through to brighten up the surface. These monster yarns are also nicely slubby, giving the surface great grain that will wear in beautifully. As you'd expect, the big weight and starch make for a bomb proof denim. These will gladly absorb any punishment you can throw at them with a smile. A classic red ID finishes it off. Overall, this is fabric represents a truly rare world of selvedge denim at an entry point that you rarely see.
