We love selvedge denim with hidden details. The Japan Color Core starts out in true classic raw denim form and then transforms with wear to let a rainbow of color burst through.
Gustin jeans made from sanforized raw selvedge denim from one of the finest mills in Japan. Although we love Japan for it's ability to capture the spirit of vintage selvedge with big weight, slubby yarns and pure indigo, sometimes the mills like to get a bit more experimental. In this case, a lot more colorful. You won't notice anything unusual when you first put them on. They'll feel and look like a nicely starched, 14 ounce, deep indigo, classic pair of denim. A very nice pair of denim at that. However, as you wear them, something will emerge. At the core of the rope dyed warp yarns is a rainbow of colors. Coated with indigo, the color only emerges with wear as the indigo gets removed. You're left with a totally unique palette of reds, greens, blues and yellows as the colored core breaks through. This is certainly like nothing else you'll wear and the surprise only develops over time. Think of it as your reward for hard work.

"I wanted to tell you how much I love the rainbow nep natural t-shirts. After over a year of trying to find my everyday t-shirt, this is finally it. I have four of them now and they are basically all I wear."
