Seeing is believing. These photos confirm our theory: the Japan Red Fire is one of those denims that sounds incredible in theory and looks even cooler in reality. An indigo warp and brilliant, fiery red weft make this limited run selvedge from Japan stand apart from anything else in your denim collection.
Note: We recommend going up one size in this fabric.
Gustin jeans made from sanforized raw selvedge denim from one of the finest mills in Japan. A cousin fabric to our Japan Shine selvedge, this one makes use of a unique weft to spectacular result. It starts out nicely with a deep navy warp, creating a dark top surface. The weft takes things in a totally new direction. Its fiery red poly yarn is woven into the weft yarn and this changes the entire character of the fabric. Obviously if you cuff this denim you'll see a bright flash of red, but what we enjoy more is how the red weft make its presence knows by showing through the top surface of the fabric. It gives the entire fabric surface a subtle red tint and shadow. If you're ready for indigo denim like no other, act fast as this is a limited run.

"Definitely, worth the wait. I’m looking forward to breaking them in. I got the 38 straight and they fit great. For others info, I wear 36x36 in Levi’s. I was a little worried because it recommended going a size up. I know 38 straight will be good for other pairs, going forward. It’s my third pair, I have the 1968 and a Rainbow pair. "These are gorgeous and other worldly. They have a slight shimmer that makes them look like a very sapphire blue. Very bold and striking, but unique. Highly recommended.
May not stretch as much since the (horizontal) red weft is poly and doesn't stretch like cotton. Consider sizing up.
I usually get 33 slim from Gustin, but I got these in 33 straight, and they're snug through the thigh after 5 wears, and I think it's quite flattering."

"Measured myself as instructed, but missed the "order one size up" instruction as these have a red poly weft thread and I should have ordered a slim 35" waist. They were snug out of the package (kudos on minimal packaging), and tight after washing and letting hang dry. Washed them twice now, but pulled them from the dryer after 10 minutes and wore them damp. They've stretched perfectly, and I love the fit and unique color. So now I've ordered three more pairs of jeans from stock, and will be ordering more on campaign."
