It's always fun for us when a full pant comes through the office that we've only seen in swatch form previously. Sometimes we see it and feel like it's as expected. More infrequently, we get a pant in and it takes even us by surprise, in a very good way. The Japan Indigo Selvedge Canvas is one example and we just needed to show it to you in more detail. *Note: we recommend sizing up one.
The color on this style is simply arresting and truly the defining element. It's the type of thing you just find yourself staring at. Indigo dye is rarely used on canvas, but this style uses it well. The surface is just incredibly saturated and inky. It's dark, but a few shades up from our darkest shades, so it has a nice brightness and glow. We love how the double indigo surface presents a wonderfully formal appearance while the more rugged denim cut keeps it casual. The tight canvas weave adds a new dimension, creating a smoother surface than a traditional denim. An 11 ounce weight makes these pants wearable year-round. The fact that this one is a selvedge composition puts it over the top.
Versatile, rare and beautiful, the Japan Indigo Selvedge Canvas, is a must have.
*Note unlike most brands we don't use vanity sizing for our pants. If you're a first time customer we highly recommend checking out our fit guide.

"My 1968s came in the mail yesterday…They're amazing! From the fit (thank you for all the hand-holding!) to the detailing, I'm blown away. Just tremendous quality at any price point, but the value here is off the charts."

"They arrived. And they are really special. I wore them all day yesterday and they were amazing. Now that I know how your stuff fits on my body, I can have a little more confidence ordering in the future. You have beautiful stuff."

"I really love Gustin. I just don't think I'd choose another brand at any price point. And I love watching for new products/return of old favs. But a very important part of the experience is the great customer service."
