We love finding totally new styles from our friends at Cone Mills in Greensboro, North Carolina. This one stopped us in our tracks with its light indigo shade, slubby yarns, vintage unsinged surface and the perfect warm weather weight. This is all-American selvedge at a big value.
Note: We recommend sizing up one as this is a very densely woven fabric.
This denim has true character. It shows on almost every level. The color is the first thing that hits you and it's beautiful. It's a light indigo cobalt color, many shades lighter than your standard dark indigo we often see from Cone. It has a vibrancy and life to it that we love in the warmer months. Slubby yarns and a crisp white weft make themselves know throughout the surface, creating a beautiful sense of irregularity throughout the fabric. The unsinged surface lends a fuzzy, vintage character to the package that really sets it apart form most denim. The 10 ounce weight is very wearable, while some starch will help you put some great creases in this denim. A thick white selvedge ID finishes it off. This is a rare denim from Cone and a true value.
This is the same style and quality that was sold in boutiques all over the country for $205+.
