A midnight blue color, slubby yarns, a touch of stretch and a rare rainbow ID. This is a micro-run selvedge straight from Japan.
It never ceases to amaze us how a similar set of ingredients can results in such variety. This denim from Japan is a perfect reminder. An indigo warp gets an extra saturated color to form a midnight blue surface darker than almost any we've seen. The crisp white weft a slubby yarns creates a varied crosshatch texture and subtle white show through. A 12 ounce weights hits the sweet-spot of wearability and substance while a nice amount of starch reminds you this is true raw denim. The small touch of stretch dials comfort levels way up. Finally, a rare and colorful rainbow selvedge ID finishes it off.
