We love getting surprise packages from Japan. We got one this week from one of our favorite selvedge denim mills and inside was an incredible selvedge denim along with a very special offer. The mill informed us they had one roll left of this style and offered it to us at a great value. Today, we're passing that value on to you. Hemp blends are one of the most rare selvedge compositions and, as you can tell from our previous styles, very expensive. We're thrilled to offer an entry point like this.

The fabric itself is is a perfect showcase for the addition of hemp. It starts with an insanely inky indigo warp. The tightness of the weave leaves the top surface incredibly saturated, despite the white weft. The hemp transforms the look and feel. You instantly detect the unique drape of the fabric imparted by the hemp. It's almost linen-like in the way it moves and flows. Next comes the fibrous texture randomly dotting the top surface. It's unique to blends like this an adds a wonderful sense of irregularity and rawness. The rest of the package is rounded out by the perfect 13 ounce weight and red selvedge ID. Consider this our gift to you to welcome in the new season.
