As one of the few extra long staple varieties grown, it's rare, but the inherent softness, durability and pilling resistance are prized. Take that building block, spin 100% Pima yarns and deploy them to a classic corduroy and you have a winner. The 14 wale lends the classic vertical ribs enough thickness and depth without being overpowering. The 10 ounce weight lends real heft. The feel is dense but flowing and soft.
