Deadstock alert - this already rare indigo selvedge herringbone will not be made again by our partner mill in Japan. We got the news and knew we had to sneak in one final run. This is the Japan Selvedge Herringbone.
Herringbones have become some of our favorite styles. The pattern is truly historic, with use in fabric dating back to the Roman Empire. The iconic zigzag pattern lends a completely different visual effect from your standard twill. We also love the subtle texture that this weave adds to the surface of a fabric. This herringbone example takes a style we love and adds intricate and rugged details. This style is like herringbone done denim style. One color gets classic dark indigo dye, the other white, a nod to the classic denim color composition. Starchy and solid at 13 ounces, there is a ruggedness to this fabric that nicely balances the more refined herringbone weave. The white weft helps bring the zigzag visual out as it helps brighten up the fabric surface. The selvedge finish makes it completely rare.

"My 1968s came in the mail yesterday…They're amazing! From the fit (thank you for all the hand-holding!) to the detailing, I'm blown away. Just tremendous quality at any price point, but the value here is off the charts."

"I really love Gustin. I just don't think I'd choose another brand at any price point. And I love watching for new products/return of old favs. But a very important part of the experience is the great customer service."
