#75 Okayama Standard

"I am very pleased with the 32 Slim sizing. Out the gate the waist was comfortable with no belt needed. After a week of wear I can feel the waist is relaxing, still don’t need a belt. The denim feels more premium than other designer selvedge I have purchased in the past. Previously I have the Rainbow nep selvedge in 31 slim and after a few washes they have shrunk and they are a little tight front rise and waist. I’m confident that the size 32 will hold up to shrinkage over time and still fit me."

"These are a lovely pair of jeans! I love the look, feel and texture of this pair of selvedge denim. I'm not sure how well they will hold up, or what the fading process will look like in a year, but I'm very happy with my purchase. After following the size guide and having my wife measure my waist I was pretty confident that a 34 skinny would be the right size. They ended up being a bit too tight in the top block and calves. In the past I would have settled for this knowing that the jeans would eventually loosen up. However my approach to selvedge denim has changed after months of reading reddit posts and watching youtube videos. After a few returns I finally settled on a 35 skinny which is about 2-3 sizes above what I would wear with other non selvedge brands (Levis, Boulder Denim, etc). "Love the deep, dark finish, I previously tried 36 in the straight but for this tried the 35 in the vintage straight fit, which I think I like a little better, a little less baggy in the thighs I think. Look forward to breaking them in."

"This is the fabric that you recommend to people that are looking to get into selvedge denim. It is the perfect weight and is an excellent fader. This is my third pair of Okayama Standards. I have Slim, Straight and now a Vintage Straight. The Vintage Straight cut is my new favorite. I was looking for a straight that wasn’t too baggy or too tapered and that had a higher rise. This is the highest rise that Gustin offers and it is great. The rise is really the key aspect of this cut. It is so comfortable and offers excellent coverage. I’m excited to see these after they fade. I suspect they’ll age wonderfully, just like my other Okayamas."
