There's one thing Japan stands apart on - making faithful reproduction of some of the most iconic workwear fabric. Selvedge denim is the obvious example, but some of our partner mills in Japan have been bring some absolutely beautiful non-denims to our attention that are equally impressive. These mills have worked to recreate some of the most rugged, workwear inspired styles. This is what we live to discover for you and we've been saving up this gem for the new year. All the defining whipcord weave characteristics are there - from the wide and steep twill line the flatter wale that almost resembles an angled corduroy. This style typically received rugged and dense yarn and this styles 13 ounce weight makes it a burly pant but the quality keeps it pliable, almost like a soft leather. The color palette is deep, saturated and timeless - this version in classic khaki. These 5 pockets are like stepping back in time in all the right ways.
