#543 Indigo Superheavy Twill

You know you have something special the moment you put these shirts on. The way they manage to balance big weight with true comfort is ideal. The 8 ounce weight makes this one of our heaviest shirts, but the extremely loose and open twill weave makes the fabric incredibly pliable and flowing. That suppleness feels great on and helps these heavy shirts fit beautifully. The surface is just slightly brushed for an even softer hand. It's the type of weight that you can wear alone or open as a layering piece. Each version is defined by a bold, large plaid pattern that uses white to contrast three beautiful base colors. This one has a wonderful palette of blues from dark navy to sky all coming from true indigo dye. Small red highlights add a pop of color.

This shirt is sewn up in our new Rugged style. It's designed to be the perfect style for our heavier, more rustic fabrics we run. It's a bit more casual, without being over the top. This style is really set off by two key design cues: a perfectly sized collar without buttons and two clean button closure, rounded chest pockets. These two elements lend the style it’s more casual look while their clean implementation keeps the shirt versatile. A simpler back yoke replaces the box pleat and locker loop of our Classic style. Intricate stitching tacks down the collar stand. The Rugged style inherits the same core fit block from the updated Classic style. The moment we sewed up some flannels and heavy jacquards in this style we knew it was right.
