A new take on the floral shirt that uses color, pattern and fabric to create something easy to love.
Seersucker is special fabric. What we appreciate about seersuckers is how the weave has been designed with function in mind and the result goes way beyond that. The weave causes areas of the fabric to pull together. This creates a beautifully textured surface that increases airflow to the skin, keeping you cooler. The depth and feel of this fabric is like no other. The base on this version is a crisp white. On top of that is a very small leafed floral pattern that reminds us of climbing vines stretching all over the shirt. Those vines are in a light grey for contrast. It's a fresh and new look that might just be the office favorite.
The short sleeve button up occupies a unique spot in our warm weather attire. It has a nice balance of formality from the button up shape with the sheer comfort of short sleeves. It's the type of shirt you can wear comfortably with shorts, a faded pair of raw denim or a clean pair of khakis. The look feels right. Ours is clean and properly constructed from a perfect collar, to a bottom hem that can be worn untucked, to nicely fitted sleeves.
Our short sleeve button-up fits just like the long sleeve. It shares the same beautifully tailored body, not too slim, but definitely fitted. High armholes keep the body lines clean. A very gently scooped bottom hem that works wonderfully un-tucked or tucked. A no-button collar that’s perfectly sized to sit well. We removed the back pleat and locker loop, adding to the minimalist and casual nature of this style.
We labor over every construction detail. Extensive single needle stitching is used throughout. All our closures are made from true mother of pearl. The front placket is also pleated, made the right way, using a true two piece construction. The feel is more substantial and the effort higher, but it's the right way. An angular chest pocket completes the front.
Button-up shirts that are made in the USA using our quality of material and construction are typically priced at $175 to $300. The Gustin model, with your support, lets us do much better.
