When you first think wool, supreme comfort may not be the first thing that comes to mind. However, add the the word Merino and everything changes. Merino wool is a bit of a wonder fabric. Yes, it's good in cooler weather, but that's not all. It breathes well and resists odors. Best of all, the extremely fine fibers mean beautiful comfort without the itch and a flowing drape to help garments fit well. Merino wool is serves as the starting point for these shirts and it comes from arguably the finest American woolen mill, Pendleton. This great starting point is then transformed into a vintage shirting style. The base color is a rare purple tinged blue that's lively and bright. This will be one of your most unique shirts and the value we're offering today is a great way to enter the world of Merino shirting.
This shirt is sewn up in our new Rugged style. It's designed to be the perfect style for our heavier, more rustic fabrics we run. It's a bit more casual, without being over the top. This style is really set off by two key design cues: a perfectly sized collar without buttons and two clean button closure, rounded chest pockets. These two elements lend the style it’s more casual look while their clean implementation keeps the shirt versatile. A simpler back yoke replaces the box pleat and locker loop of our Classic style. Intricate stitching tacks down the collar stand. The Rugged style inherits the same core fit block from the updated Classic style. The moment we sewed up some flannels and heavy jacquards in this style we knew it was right.
