Burnished Horween Briefcase

Back in April, a customer by the name of Chris Dillon posted a comment on Instagram asking if we were open to doing a custom patina on some of our leather goods. His comment turned into a conversation and after reviewing his work and chatting with him over the phone, we knew it was too good of an opportunity to pass up. Chris is one of America's premier patina artists, and his body of work - which ranges from shoes to bags - is remarkable. Every item is hand painted and one-of-a-kind.

Upon testing a few different leathers, we knew that Horween's natural vegetable tanned Essex leather and the silhouette of our briefcase would make for a perfect blank canvas. Each briefcase will be expertly constructed here in California and we'll then ship them to Chris' studio for the finishing touches.
