We always love the opportunity to work with some new craftsmen who excel at their trade. For these totes, we paired up with a 90 year old New England factory that specializes in canvas. Their products are the kind we like - made to take a beating, but understated and refined. Meet our Canvas Market tote.
The Market Tote is intended to be the perfect unisex tote. Clean and functional. The main body is open for ample storage - easy to get in and out of. The handles are designed so the bag doesn't swing too much in your hand. The tote is over-assembled to last the test of time.
For the body of this tote we're using a heavyweight natural canvas. It's clean and practically bulletproof. As a matter of fact, this canvas is used to make bags for transporting money in armored cars. We chose a leather to match the style of the canvas - natural vegetable tanned leather. This leather starts out light and darkens as you use it. The straps are backed with leather washers and secured by industrial copper rivets.
Finally, we signed this bag. The interior is hand stenciled with the Gustin logo.
