After a few seasons of making chino shorts, we wanted to return to the beginning so to speak, by finding the absolute perfect fabric for your go-to pair of chino shorts. Everything is dialed-in perfectly from feel to weight and of course, to value. These are the new American Chino Shorts.
When searching for the perfect gold-standard fabric we wanted to get all the fabric details perfect. To start, it had to be made right in the USA by a mill known for quality. We got it. A classic twill weave was a must, with a tight surface and subtle twill line visible. Next was weight, not too heavy, not too light. Something you can live in daily but still be strong enough to take on active summer days for years. The 6.5 ounce weight of this style nails it. We then required absolute comfort. This twill is treated to a strong sanding process that makes the entire fabric lusciously soft, and the surface velvet-like. It's a thing of beauty to wear. This version is a gold-tinged khaki. All this goodness wrapped in one of our best chino values of the season.
We spent a lot of time perfecting the fit and construction of our shorts. They are tailored and comfortable. We really focused on getting the right drape, including a nicely tapered leg so that they look fitted. An inseam at 7.5” provides a middle ground on length. Construction is done the right way throughout: full two piece waistband, two welt back pockets (one with a flap closure to keep things secure), inset coin pocket in front, taped seams, YKK zip fly and our custom Corozo button on top.
Chino shorts of this quality, made in the USA are typically priced over $100. Our model allows us to offer you a much better value.
