Ancient Japanese Shosenshi yarn tradition with quality at its core transformed into a classic 5 Pocket ready for today. These are the rare Shosenshi 5 Pockets.
Shosenshi refers to the ancient tradition in Japan of creating yarn from paper. It's a process that predates cotton and hemp. Pulp from plants instead of wood is harvested and sheeted. It's then cut into fine slits which are ultimately twisted into paper yarn. This type of yarn is prized for its durability, breathability, and ease of care. Today, this special yarn is used in the creation of a rugged canvas a tightly woven, burly 12 ounce example. Color is rich - sand. This is true quality and attention to detail all the way to yarn level.
