This style gives you a glimpse into a construction originated by Wrangler in the 60's and now almost impossible to find. This is the Japan Broken Twill Selvedge.
Gustin jeans made from sanforized raw selvedge denim from one of the finest mills in Japan. Broken twill weave was used by Wrangler in the 60's in an attempt to combat the leg twist you get in left or right hand twills. Granted, we find that twist cool, but if you're searching for this obscure weave, act fast as this is a super limited run. An inky blue warp is contrasted with a crisp white weft to give this denim a classic look. There is nice vertical grain. The broken twill means you don't see a well defined twill line on either front or back surfaces which give this fabric a different character. At 13 ounces it's a good mid-weight and has a relatively supple feel even in raw form. A nice red selvedge ID caps it off.
