#525 Japan Broken Twill

The broken twill weave was used by Wrangler in the 60's in an attempt to combat the leg twist you get in left or right hand twills. You don't see a well defined twill line on either front or back surfaces which gives this denim a different character. Next comes color - a dark indigo warp gets paired with a classic white weft to keep things authentic. Slubby yarns make for lots of weft show through and high grain texture. This is solid, classic denim that respects an historically significant construction technique. We're running these at a true value, so enjoy.
