Hemp is prized for a soft, natural feel that actually improves with each wash. It's not a fussy fabric, meaning you can care for it at home and wear it frequently - nice for warm weather use. Hemp is also know for durability, which enables us to go superlight on the weight without compromising strength, in this case a breezy 5 ounces. All these properties are really driven home the moment you touch this shirt. There is an impossibly soft flowing texture. Despite the fine yarns used, there is still a bit of ruggedness to the fabric. Putting them on, you instantly feel the comfort. The movement and breathability is simply impressive. This version is a soft natural.

The short sleeve button up occupies a unique spot in our warm weather attire. It has a nice balance of formality from the button up shape with the sheer comfort of short sleeves. It's the type of shirt you can wear comfortably with shorts, a faded pair of raw denim or a clean pair of khakis. The look feels right. Ours is clean and properly constructed from a perfect collar, to a bottom hem that can be worn untucked, to nicely fitted sleeves. 

Our short sleeve button-up fits just like the long sleeve. It shares the same beautifully tailored body, not too slim, but definitely fitted. High armholes keep the body lines clean. A very gently scooped bottom hem that works wonderfully un-tucked or tucked. A no-button collar that’s perfectly sized to sit well.

We labor over every construction detail. Extensive single needle stitching is used throughout. All our closures are made from true mother of pearl. The front placket is also pleated, made the right way, using a true two piece construction. The feel is more substantial and the effort higher, but it's the right way. An angular chest pocket completes the front.
