Introducing the Horween latigo belt. Made from heavyweight Horween latigo leather, these are a clean, rugged belt built for everyday.
This version is made from Horween's latigo leather. Latigo leather is produced using a combination of two tanning methods. First is it chrome-tanned, then vegetable-tanned. This dual tanning process gives the leather a very deep color while making it extremely durable. The black color we're using for this belt is uniform, and lacks the color variance often found in other Horween leathers. Latigo leathers are often used in saddlery, so we're confident this is one you can hand down to your kids. We're finishing the belt with a USA-made, solid brass buckle in an antique nickel finish.
We pay special attention to the finish as we do on all our products. The edges are beveled and edged, and the belt is finished with a traditional English point. The buckle is held on via thick waxed thread, and is stamped with a Gustin on the backside.
If you look around, belts of this quality and design are typically $120 to $170. If we had to sell at retail and guess which style you wanted, we would be stuck doing the same. Fortunately we’re not, and that means you get a top quality product for a wonderful price.
