#596 Shadow Hickory Selvedge

Aside from selvedge denim, the vintage Hickory Stripe is one of the most iconic workwear styles. Used as a uniform staple, it was built to last and be worn hard. Japan has mastered the art of creating authentic reproductions, but in this case, it has used a unique technique to create a more subtle edition. The iconic blue/white vertical stripe is present, while a jacquard weave is used to create a much more muted contrast between the colors. Indigo dominates, with the white stripe almost like a shadow beneath the indigo. It's a bit more understated, but still clearly pays respect to the original. The rest of the package is pure quality - indigo dye, starchy finish, usable 11oz weight, and a rare selvedge composition. This is a superior quality, iconic workwear fabric with a fresh update.
