Some things in the clothing world are about pure luxury. We consider the Gustin Sweatshorts to be one such product. Today we're adding in a specially formulated wash to create an organic, vintage look. Comfortable to the core, made from luxuriously soft French Terry and constructed in the USA. Lounge in them, hike in them, and we’ll bet, sleep in them.
Raw denim was our first love at Gustin. As anyone who loves this product knows, instant comfort is not really a goal. We suffer for our selvedge denim. Our sweatshorts are the exact opposite: the perfect reward when you just want pure ease. Comfort starts with fabric. We’re using the same custom knit 12oz, luxuriously soft French Terry that we used in our sweat pants. While some heavier weight French Terries have a dry, papery hand, ours has a truly flowing and soft character. We then apply a totally new wash that creates a perfectly vintage patina to the rich base colors. Imagine a great knit you've worn hard and well for years. This was our target. There are subtle highs-and-lows and irregularities that create a truly worn-in look.
The fit is easy to love yet by no means unkempt looking. It’s a fine balance on a classic athletic garment like this but we think you’ll find this fit to be one that works in or out of the home. We’ve dialed in all the construction details with a thick, vintage waistband and taped pocket openings.
