We are bringing back the Woolrich Camel Herringbone and giving it a nice update. The addition of a cotton/linen chambray and brass snaps come together giving this CPO a cohesive look.
This Gustin CPO (Chief Petty Officer) is made out of wool from Woolrich Mills in the USA. We wanted to showcase some of the finest materials to highlight product and Woolrich wool is at the top of the list. The rich colors in this style combined with the weave make it a real stand out. A camel brown wool comes together with a white wool in a classic herringbone pattern. The weave allows the white wool to brighten up the overall shade and to highlight the weave pattern. At 8oz's this is wool is extra versatile. It layers without feeling bulky, while also being able to stand alone on a cool night. The pattern in this fabric contrasts perfectly with denim. This is a jacket that you can you wear year round but it is probably the last time this season we will run it.
As usual, attention to details on our CPO is an obsession for us. Significant flat felling is used throughout, from side-seams to shoulders to sleeves, for a clean finish and added toughness. The front placket, cuffs, collar and yoke all receive lining using a black herringbone fabric. This gives the garment subtle shadow and contrast. Small side gussets are sewn into the side hems, also from brown cotton/linen chambray, and secured with two bartacks. Another detail that adds both function and style. Pockets are a hallmark of any good CPO and something we paid great attention to. There are two symmetrical front chest pockets and a single pocket on the left sleeve that gives you a nice place to stash small items. Inside, you get a large side entry pocket from brown cotton/linen chambray. All flap pockets, cuffs and front are secured with aged brass snaps.
The fit is designed to be tailored while still accommodating light weight items underneath. The length is longer than our button downs. We recommend selecting the same size in our CPO as you wear in our jackets. You can size up if you like to layer with thick garments underneath.
