An all-American bull denim that was simply born for this coat.
Gustin Chore Coat made from bull denim woven in right in the USA. It's rare to find a fabric that blends ruggedness with comfort, but this fabric manages to pull it off perfectly. It starts with the weave. The thick denim construction shows a beefy twill line which gives the fabric great surface character. At 12 ounces, the feel is very substantial and the weave tight. To balance this toughness out, the fabrics gets a super heavy brushing. This gives the surface a velvet like feel and an aged appearance. The overall touch is dense and pliable, which is perfectly suited to our chore coat. The color is a wonderfully rich army green that's a timeless companion to raw denim. Classic coat, classic fabric, tremendous value.
The overall style pays respect to the long tradition of chore coats - functional and understated. As usual, we give our version a more tailored body and make sure the length hits in just the right spot in the middle of your back pockets. It has two full hand pockets on the lower front, each single needle stitched with bar-tacks for added strength. Up top, there is one chest pocket left open and secured with bar tacks. The other chest pocket receives a flap with button closure. Both are also single needle construction. An inside chest pocket lets you tuck away your wallet or phone. Flat felling is used on main seams and all pockets are clean finished.
Jackets like ours that are made in the USA using our quality of material and construction are typically priced at $260 or higher. The efficiency of the Gustin model, with your support, lets us do much better.
