As you move up the denim food chain, you start seeing more complexity in yarn texture and shade. This selvedge is a great example of how subtle upgrades can produce a rare and beautiful result.
Gustin jeans made from sanforized raw selvedge denim from one of the finest mills in Japan. Thoughtfulness in shade and yarn is what makes some denim a cut above the rest. You can really see the artistry in this style. It starts with a great vintage blue warp. It's a few shades lighter than a more common dark indigo and falls into the postal blue range we love so much. Add in a tinted beige weft, and you get a real antique appearance. The beige lends a subtly aged, dusty look as it shows through on the fabric surface. We used a beige tinted weft on the first fabric ever in the Gustin line that sold at retail in 2011 and still have a soft spot for the character it adds to a fabric. Finally, small cotton neps dot the surface of the fabric, giving it just a touch of irregularity. This is going to sew up into an epic pair of jeans.
This is the same style and quality that was sold in boutiques all over the country for $205+.

"I really love Gustin. I just don't think I'd choose another brand at any price point. And I love watching for new products/return of old favs. But a very important part of the experience is the great customer service."

"My 1968s came in the mail yesterday…They're amazing! From the fit (thank you for all the hand-holding!) to the detailing, I'm blown away. Just tremendous quality at any price point, but the value here is off the charts."
