#75 Okayama Standard

"First time Gustin purchase, and the wait was worth it! My girlfriend is making fun of how happy I am and taunts me to wear them to bed. The neighbor who referred me to Gustin, a dapper dogwalker -- just saw me walking down the street and recognized the Okayama Standards. He said, "first pair? You are in trouble now!" And he's right -- there's no going back to the 'classic' brand that makes disposable denim. The price is high for me, to be sure -- but I'll save up to buy clothes that will last and look good doing it. Exceptional stitching, manifest quality."

"This is my second Gustin pair after the 1968. It took me all of one minute of breaking in that first pair using Sally O'Malley kicks and stretches to decide I wanted another one, and the Okayama was a logical choice. It arrived just in time for my Christmas trip to Chicago, and all I could think of was all the honeycombing that 8+ hours of sitting in Economy Class would bring. I'm really happy with it -- the fabric is beautiful and the piece is just so well crafted overall. I could be happier, though -- just a couple of minor quality situations on the left leg. 1) About 1" of stitching on the outseam failed and was coming undone, which led me to notice that 2) from the knee down, the leg was about 3/16" tighter than the right. I let Customer Service know about issue #1 and was taken care of right away with a reimbursement for repair. Issue #2 is more of an observation than a problem. Still giving it 5 stars."
