Sometimes an opportunity comes along that’s too good to pass up. In this case it was a chance to partner with one of the most renowned sock factories in Japan to produce a limited run of incredible socks. Made from super heavy, multi-colored cotton yarn, these are perfect for the cold weather around the corner.
Our socks are woven by vintage Japanese machines that were built in the 1970's. While these are not the most efficient machines, they are uniquely capable of producing thick and durable socks that you just cannot find anywhere else. 60 needle point construction provides the highest knit density while maintaining a plush feel. The cuffs are designed to fit snugly and stay in place. The heel and toe are reinforced to ensure comfort and durability.
As soon as you touch these socks you'll appreciate the combination of heft and suppleness. Each sock in this three pack is crafted from heavy weight, multi-colored Japanese cotton yarn. Upon close inspection, you can see the an incredible interplay between the yarn colors. This type of craftsmanship is hard to find outside of Japan. The textural element of these sock is what really makes it interesting. It has has a soft hand, but the criss-crossing yarns create a lofty surface. Finally, picking the right shade is a must. We decided to go with some colors that are indicative of winter; green, grey and maroon.
