Our aprons started out as a thank you gift for some local artisans - our close friends at Blue Bottle Coffee Mint Plaza and Del Popolo Pizza. After having a few made up and seeing how their durability, functionality, and stains told a story of a day's work, we knew we had something special.
We're using one of Cone Mills' most popular denims which features the use of a natural indigo dye derived from plants farmed here in the US. At an ample 13.5 ounces, the apron is a perfect weight. Not too light and not too heavy. Natural indigo gives you a much brighter blue than you would typically find in a synthetic dye and the color will only look better as it fades like a pair of raw denim jeans.
The two front pockets are akin those you would find on our jeans and are trimmed with the selvedge ID. The upper utility pocket is a perfect place to keep a thermometer, spoon or pen handy while you take care of business. Natural webbing and nickel-plated solid brass hardware finish off the apron to you a clean look.
