A cousin fabric to the Indigo Fire Plaid that's perfect if you love a classic check pattern. It has all the ingredients that make up a true collector shirt: indigo dye, firey red contrast and an absolutely gauzy feel.
This style uses cotton cloth from one of the finest mills in Japan. When we come across supremely soft shirting we always give it another look. We're glad we did because this style really has it all. The feel of this fabric draws you in. It has an super soft, gauzy feel that will be perfect for the summer or to layer. You could live in this fabric. Next comes the color palette. Deep, dark navy is contrasted with bright glowing red. They come together in a super classic, medium check pattern. The best part is that the the navy comes from indigo dye, meaning it will age beautifully over time. This is one of those shirts that's so spot on you'll almost want to wear it sparingly, but you won't be able to because it looks and feels so great on.
Our fit starts with a beautifully tailored body, not too slim, but definitely fitted. High armholes keep the body lines clean. The length hits just right so it looks great always. Scooped out sides give the untucked look a bit of extra style. A traditional button down collar is secured with two side buttons and one back and has a nice soft roll.
We labor over every construction detail. Extensive single needle stitching is used throughout. All our closures are made from true mother of pearl. A finely folded locker loop sits over a box pleat on the back yoke. The front placket is also pleated, made the right way, using a true two piece construction. The feel is more substantial and the effort higher, but it's the right way. An angular chest pocket completes the front. Our cuffs are double button with rounded corners.
