This plaid from Japan has so many elements we love it's hard to even know where to begin. Color, weight, texture and composition are perfectly balanced in this special fabric. 
This style uses linen/cotton cloth from one of the finest mills in Japan. For the Summer months, linen is a go-to and we like how light and airy this particular fabric is. It starts with a striking plaid. Royal blue, white and a pop of red meld perfectly to create a crisp and clean pattern. The feel of this fabric is outstanding. With the addition of linen, you get the wonderful drape this fiber is known for as well as it's reputation for staying cool in warmer weather. Coming in at 4oz, this is the perfect weight for those warmer days but can just as easy be worn year round, it's perfect for layering. This is simply a handsome plaid that will pair great with anything you choose.
Our fit starts with a beautifully tailored body, not too slim, but definitely fitted. High armholes keep the body lines clean. The length hits just right so it looks great always. Scooped out sides give the untucked look a bit of extra style. A traditional button down collar is secured with two side buttons and one back and has a nice soft roll.
We labor over every construction detail. Extensive single needle stitching is used throughout. All our closures are made from true mother of pearl. A finely folded locker loop sits over a box pleat on the back yoke. The front placket is also pleated, made the right way, using a true two piece construction. The feel is more substantial and the effort higher, but it's the right way. An angular chest pocket completes the front. Our cuffs are double button with rounded corners.
