A solid trucker that is sure to keep you warm, no matter the weather conditions. We loved the wool CPO's so much we thought it would be a great fabric to run in our trucker. This style does not disappoint - it offers up true ruggedness with the heavy wool combined with the sharp look of of the two-tone exterior, right down to the new black distressed buttons.
This wool trucker is made out of melton wool from Canada. This style is a beefy 14.0oz wool. You really feel protected when you put this trucker on. It's a great weight to use as a stand alone jacket. Melton wools are known for their dense texture and this one certainly feels it. The surface of this wool is super smooth. The color blocking of the jet black and heather grey stands out and pairs well with a wide range of chinos and raw denim. This is just a super tough wool that's ready to last and keep you toasty warm in winter. For the lining we are using the same chambray we line our chinos with but in black. In addition to it's stunning crosshatch character, this chambray is also warm and has a supremely soft feel. It's also light enough to keep the jacket wearable and not too bulky. Topping off the look is the hardware, for the first time we are using matte black distressed buttons, they really look slick with this sharp jacket. This is a great update to a Gustin classic that you shouldn't miss out on because like so many other products, this one is extremely limited.
The overall style is inspired by the classic Type III Trucker Jacket. We give it a more tailored body and add a bit of length in the sleeves so it doesn’t ride up. It's designed to hit right at the waistline for a compact look. It has two full hand pockets on the side and double flap pockets up top. Each flap is secured with our matte black distressed buttons. We also added a few functional pockets. A small carry pocket on the right side provides quick access to a place to store your phone and an inside chest pocket lets you tuck away your wallet. Two side buckles on the waist band are secured by matte black snaps. Extensive flat felling is used on seams and all pockets are clean finished.
Jackets like ours that are made in the USA using our quality of material and construction are typically priced at $260 or higher. The efficiency of the Gustin model, with your support, lets us do much better.
