Our silk denim has, to say the least, created quite a stir. The Japan Indigo Silk sewed up into a classic and substantial pair of raws that utilize one of the most rare fibers you'll find in the selvedge world.

Gustin jeans made from sanforized raw selvedge denim from one of the finest mills in Japan. Silk blend denim is a rare bird. Our previous two versions were from Italy - a bright grey and an iridescent blue - both on the lighter weight side. We wondered how Japan would treat a silk denim. The answer is a classic composition that lets the beauty of shade a solid weight and a great feel tell the story. The shade on this style is stunning. It's a pure, rich, deep indigo. No tint, no sheen, just classic indigo goodness. Sometimes silk can make for a bit of a shine that some people don't care for. Not this version. The silk makes for a more supple feel than you'd expect - the fabric is dense and sturdy but not stifling. This also our heaviest silk blend offered at 13 ounces, which gives you a really solid pair of jeans. We love to see how different mills make use of such a rare fiber.
